The standard string file format consists of one or more key-value pairs with optional comments. The key and value in this pair are double-quoted strings of text, separated by an equal sign and ending with a semicolon. Although inclusion of comments is optional, they provide a convenient way to convey the translator contextual information about how each line of text is used.
